Discover Gornji Humac on the island of Brač

Gornji Humac, lying at 500 m above sea level, is the highest settlement on the island. It is located around 10 km from Pučišća. One of the oldest settlements on the island is today a quiet and serene place with its stone houses, narrow streets and untouched nature telling the story of farmers and peasants living here some centuries ago. Baroque-style Parish Church of St. Nicholas stands out with several very valuable masterpieces: a triptych by Juraj Dalmatinac and a stone relief triptych from the workshop of Niccolò Fiorentino. Taverns in Gornji Humac offer home-fed roasted lamb and traditional bread made under the baking lid and served with a glass of quality wine of Brač.
