Povlja is a small town located on the north-east side of Brač, in one of the several beautiful bays that nature created. The town is surrounded with small hills, on which pine and oak trees live in harmony with summer breeze and where olives and vineyards provides well known olive oil and vine. Like most of the villages, Povlja is also a place where stone-cutting is one of the primary jobs, the whole village is made of beatifuly carved stone, but the supreme example of stone architecture is the church of Saint John which is located at the main road. The church is actually built on the remains of an earlier basilica from the sixth century. Beside the church there is an old fortress from the seventeenth century when the island was under the Republic of Venice. Furthermore, Povlja is provided with several markets and restaurants, a post office, couple of bars, an ATM machine and etc. It is also possible to rent pedal boats, kanus, bicycles in town, to dive with suitable equipment and fish, if you are a passionate fisherman. Povlja is well connected with other places on the island. You can reach the ferry port Supetar and the airport on Vidova Gora with an hour drive by car or bus. Apartment Bulic is located on the north side of town, right below the church and the main road. Distance between the house and the center of town is 5 minutes walk through little streets and stairs that connect them. The nearest beach is 5 minutes away by foot. As you can see in the pictures, our apartment is provided with a kitchen, WC and four beds (1 double bed and 3 single beds). Also, there is a TV, an air-conditioning device, a couch and, the most important, a wide stone carved terrace in front of the apartment which overlooks the sea, with vine providing shade in hot summer days.
